This policy explains how Weddify uses cookies and similar technologies. Read it with our Privacy Policy.
The mobile app does not use cookies
The Weddify app is not a browser. It stores your session token in the device keychain and caches event data locally so the app opens quickly and works with a poor connection. That storage is on your device, is not shared with anyone, and is cleared when you sign out or delete the app.
The app uses a push notification token issued by Apple so notifications can reach your device. It is not an advertising identifier. We do not use the advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID) and we do not do any cross-app or cross-site tracking.
The website uses only what it needs
weddify.com is a marketing and legal-information site. It sets:
- No analytics cookies.
- No advertising or tracking cookies.
- No third-party trackers.
Strictly necessary cookies -- a session token, a cross-site-request-forgery token, and a language preference -- are set only if and when a signed-in web experience is used. They are required for it to work at all and cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.
Paying into a cash fund goes through Stripe
When you contribute to a cash fund, the payment step is handled by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies and similar identifiers on its own pages -- they are used to process the payment and to detect fraud, and Stripe describes them in its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. They are not Weddify cookies: we do not set them, we cannot read them, and we cannot turn them off for you.
No cookie banner, and no cookie settings screen
Because there is nothing optional to consent to, we do not show a cookie banner and there is no cookie-preferences screen. If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential technology, we will update this policy and -- for visitors in places where consent is required -- ask for permission before setting anything.
Managing cookies yourself
Your browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in on the web. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Changes
If we add cookies or change how existing ones are used, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
