1. Who we are
Weddify (the "Service") is a wedding-planning app operated by Youcef Tchouar, a sole proprietor based in Laval, Quebec, Canada ("Weddify," "we," "us").
These Terms are a contract between you and Weddify. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Weddify is -- and is not -- in this version
This version of Weddify is a private planning and coordination tool for one wedding. It gives the people planning the wedding (the "Hosts") and the people they invite (the "Guests") a shared place to:
- build a guest list and collect RSVPs;
- track tasks, budget lines, and a timeline;
- plan seating and meal choices;
- share photos, posts, polls, and messages in a private event feed visible only to invited people;
- run a cash fund, so Guests can contribute money towards a gift the Hosts chose. How that money moves is set out in Appendix A, which is part of these Terms.
Weddify is not:
- a wedding planner or an advisor -- we provide tools, you make the decisions;
- a marketplace. This version does not list, rank, recommend, verify, or sell wedding vendors, and takes no part in any arrangement you make with a vendor;
- a party to any contract between you and anyone you hire for your wedding;
- a bank, a money transmitter, or a payment processor. When a Guest contributes to a cash fund, the money is on its way from that Guest to the Hosts. We are not selling you anything, we do not keep the contribution, and card processing is done by Stripe -- see Appendix A.
Vendor accounts, vendor bookings, and vendor payouts are not part of this version of the Service. If we add them, we will publish updated Terms first.
3. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Weddify account. The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register. If you believe a minor has created an account, email privacy@weddify.com and we will remove it.
Guests do not need an account to be invited or to have their RSVP recorded by a Host -- see section 5.
4. Accounts
When you create an account you agree to:
- provide accurate information and keep it current;
- keep your credentials confidential -- you are responsible for activity under your account;
- tell us immediately at support@weddify.com if you suspect unauthorised access;
- not create accounts to impersonate someone else or to evade a suspension.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & Security → Delete Account. Deletion is described in section 10.
5. Your guests -- information about other people
This is the most important obligation in these Terms, so it gets its own section.
When you act as a Host, you upload personal information about people who are not you: guest names, email addresses, phone numbers, dietary restrictions, plus-ones, and seating. Many of those people will not have a Weddify account and may never create one.
By uploading that information you confirm that:
- you have a genuine reason to hold it (you are inviting these people to your wedding);
- you are entitled to share it with us for that purpose, and you accept responsibility as the person who decided to collect it;
- you will only use Weddify's guest features for your event -- not for marketing, list-building, or any purpose unrelated to the wedding.
We act on your instructions for that guest data: we store it, use it to deliver invitations and record RSVPs, and delete it when you delete the guest, the wedding, or your account. A guest can also contact us directly at privacy@weddify.com to ask what we hold about them and to have it removed, whether or not they have an account. If we remove a guest record at that person's request, we will tell you.
6. Content you upload
You keep ownership of everything you upload -- photos, videos, posts, comments, poll answers, messages.
You grant Weddify a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content only as needed to run the Service and only to the audience you chose (your event feed, a specific thread, a specific person). We do not make your event content public, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, including photos of other people.
We may remove content that breaks section 7.
The Service itself -- the app, the interfaces, the logo, the text -- is Weddify's intellectual property. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate another person;
- upload someone's personal information for a purpose unrelated to the event that person was invited to;
- scrape the Service, use bots against it, or try to extract its source code;
- attempt to access events, guest lists, or media you were not invited to;
- interfere with the Service's operation or security.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break this section.
8. Third-party services
The Service depends on a small number of outside providers: our hosting provider in Canada, a transactional-email provider, Apple's push notification service, Stripe for card processing and payouts, and -- when you use address search or "Sign in with Google" / "Sign in with Apple" -- Google and Apple. Their handling of your data is governed by their own terms. The complete, current list is in our Privacy Policy.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, where it lives, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights. It forms part of these Terms.
10. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account & Security → Delete Account.
When you delete your account we remove your profile, your content, and the weddings you host; media is removed from view immediately and purged from storage within 30 days. Encrypted database backups roll off on their own schedule (see the Privacy Policy). Some records may be retained where the law requires it.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Weddify is a planning aid: it does not replace your own record-keeping, and you should not rely on it as the only copy of information that matters to your wedding.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WEDDIFY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID WEDDIFY IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) CAD $100.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law -- for example fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Weddify against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your uploading of content or personal information you had no right to upload.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You may always bring a claim in the province where you live where the law gives you that right.
Please email support@weddify.com first -- most issues are resolved that way.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will show you a notice in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, and we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the Service.
Each version carries the version identifier at the top of this document.

Appendix A -- Cash funds and payments
This appendix is part of these Terms. It explains how money moves when Guests contribute to a cash fund, and what you are paying for if you buy a paid feature.
A.1 How a cash-fund contribution actually works
- The Hosts connect their own Stripe account. Before a fund can accept money, a Host goes through Stripe's own onboarding and connects a Stripe account to the wedding. Stripe collects the identity and banking details it needs directly, on Stripe's pages. Weddify does not see or store them.
- The charge is created by Weddify and transferred to the Hosts. Technically the Guest's card is charged on Weddify's Stripe platform account, and Stripe immediately transfers the money on to the Hosts' connected account (Stripe calls this a destination charge). We are telling you this plainly because your card statement and Stripe's receipts reflect it.
- Weddify is a facilitator, not the seller. A contribution is money going from a Guest to the Hosts. Weddify does not sell you the gift, does not own it, and does not keep it.
- Weddify's platform fee is currently zero. We take no cut of a cash-fund contribution at launch. If that ever changes, the fee will be shown before you pay and we will publish updated Terms first.
- We do not hold your money. Weddify is not a bank, a money transmitter, or a payment processor. Card processing is performed by Stripe under Stripe's terms, and card details are entered on Stripe's own payment pages -- Weddify never receives or stores card or bank account numbers.
A.2 Stripe's processing fee, and who pays it
Stripe charges a processing fee on every contribution. Before you confirm, the app shows you both numbers: what your card will be charged, and what the couple will receive.
- If you choose to cover the fee (the default), the amount charged to your card is increased so the couple receives the full amount you intended.
- If you do not, the fee comes out of the amount you sent, and the couple receives that much less.
The fee shown before you pay is an estimate based on Stripe's published card rates. The exact fee is set and taken by Stripe.
A.3 Currency
Contributions are charged in the currency of the wedding. Weddify's own Stripe platform account settles in Canadian dollars (CAD).
If your card is issued in a different currency, your card issuer converts it at their rate and may add their own fee. Where the currency of a charge differs from the currency an account settles in, Stripe applies its own currency-conversion fee. Those amounts are set by Stripe and your bank, not by Weddify.
A.4 Refunds
- A contribution is a gift to the Hosts, so refunding one is the Hosts' decision. A Host can refund any successful contribution in full from the fund screen in the app.
- Stripe does not return its processing fee on a refund, so a small part of what was charged does not come back. If you chose to cover the fee, that is the part that stays with Stripe.
- If a charge fails, double-bills, or is otherwise wrong because of a Weddify or Stripe error, email support@weddify.com and we will fix it.
A.5 Paid features
If you buy a paid feature for your event (for example a one-time upgrade that raises the limits on a free event), Weddify is the seller of that purchase. The price and any taxes are shown before you pay, it is a one-time charge and not a subscription, and it is processed by Stripe in the same way. That is a separate thing from a cash-fund contribution, which we never keep.
A.6 Taxes
Weddify does not give tax advice. Whether money received through a cash fund has to be reported is between the Hosts and their tax authority.
