Terms of Service
Effective date: April 20, 2026
Last updated: April 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Weddify (operated by Weddify Inc., incorporated in Canada — "Weddify," "we," "us"). By creating an account, uploading content, making a payment, or otherwise using our mobile apps or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. Weddify is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
2. Accounts
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@weddify.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Not create multiple accounts for abusive purposes (chargebacks, refund fraud, vendor impersonation).
3. What Weddify is (and isn't)
Weddify is a platform that helps couples plan weddings, connect with vendors, collect contributions from guests, and share the event. We are not:
- A party to any contract between a couple and a vendor. When you book a vendor through Weddify, the contract is directly between you and that vendor.
- A custodian of funds. When a guest contributes to a couple's cash fund, the funds flow directly to the couple's Stripe-connected account via destination-charge mechanics. Weddify does not hold the money at any point.
- A registered financial institution, money transmitter, or payment processor. All card processing is handled by Stripe, Inc.
- A wedding planner. We provide tools; you make the decisions.
4. Payments and cash funds
All payments on Weddify are processed by Stripe, Inc., which has its own terms at stripe.com/legal.
Cash funds
- A couple ("Host") can create cash funds (honeymoon, house, charity, etc.) and invite guests to contribute.
- Contributions are charged to the guest's card via Stripe Checkout and transferred directly to the Host's Stripe-connected account. Stripe handles the transfer; Weddify does not custody funds.
- Weddify may charge a platform fee on each contribution. The fee is disclosed at contribution time and, during initial launch, is zero.
- Guests may opt to cover the Stripe processing fee so the Host receives the full intended amount. This option is disclosed at checkout.
Vendor bookings
- Booking fees, deposits, and final payments are disclosed before you commit.
- A deposit is required to confirm a booking. The deposit amount and refund policy are set by the vendor within limits enforced by Weddify.
- Weddify takes a platform commission on vendor bookings (currently 10%) deducted from the vendor's payout, not added to the client's price.
5. Refunds
Event upgrade (Full Wedding plan): The one-time charge that unlocks Premium features on a wedding event is non-refundable once the payment clears. You agree to this explicitly at checkout, before Premium features become available on your event. This is because a wedding is an irrevocable, time-bound use of the Service: once your guests, seating chart, and cash funds are active, the value of the upgrade has been delivered. If the charge fails or is double-billed due to a Weddify or Stripe error, contact support@weddify.com and we'll resolve it.
Cash fund contributions: The Host can refund an individual guest contribution at their discretion from the Weddify dashboard. Refunds reverse the Stripe transfer and return the guest's payment, less the Stripe processing fee (which Stripe does not refund). Whether to refund, and when, is the Host's call.
Vendor bookings: Refunds are governed by the vendor's cancellation policy, which is disclosed before booking. Weddify enforces the policy at the platform level; disputes between you and the vendor are resolved between you first, with Weddify available to mediate.
Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback on an upgrade purchase or contribution, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution, lock the event's Premium features, and recover any lost funds from subsequent transactions.
6. Vendor terms
If you register as a vendor, additional terms apply:
- You must complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding, including identity verification.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, portfolio, availability, and pricing.
- You are responsible for delivering the services you sell. Weddify is not liable for vendor non-performance.
- You agree to respond to client inquiries within 48 hours and to honour confirmed bookings.
- Weddify may remove listings that violate these Terms, misrepresent the services offered, or generate a pattern of client complaints.
7. Content and intellectual property
Your content: You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, videos, posts, messages). You grant Weddify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely as needed to operate the Service and to the audience you've selected (private event feed, guests, public).
Our content: The Service itself — the interfaces, logos, text, features — is Weddify's intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service or its components without permission.
Feedback: If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us the right to use them without obligation or compensation.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or infringes others' rights.
- Use the Service to spam, scrape, or abuse other users or vendors.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a vendor or venue.
- Attempt to circumvent payment processing, payment fees, or platform commissions (e.g., booking on-platform and then asking the vendor to take cash off-platform).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) without our written permission.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section, and we cooperate with law enforcement where required.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Apple Push Notification Service and Google Firebase (notifications), and various authentication and storage providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. Weddify is not responsible for third-party services beyond our control.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@weddify.com or using the in-app deletion flow. On deletion, we remove your content from user-facing views and purge it from backups within the timelines in our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention obligations.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or if required by law. Upon termination, outstanding vendor bookings are handled according to the vendor's cancellation policy.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not endorse or guarantee any vendor's services — each vendor is independent and responsible for their own work.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WEDDIFY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO WEDDIFY IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR CAD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Weddify harmless from claims arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of another person's rights. This includes reasonable legal fees we incur in defending such claims.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction there, except that you may bring a small-claims action in the province where you reside.
We encourage you to contact us first at support@weddify.com to resolve disputes informally — most issues can be resolved quickly this way.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notice or email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
